Born into the world on August 21, 1938 and made her celestial departure on March 4th, 2022. She was 83 years old. Ellen was born to Washington Clarence and Mirtie Lee (Risenhoover) Mosley, the 12th child of 15. She married William Kennith Satterwhite and was a mother to Kenetta and Kendall.
She worked at Safeway Pre-Pakt for many years, and later as director of the Spencer Road Day Care Center. She was a long-time member of the Spencer Road Free Will Baptist Church and the Harrah Free Will Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents; nine brothers, Cleo, Ralph, Jack, Floyd, Lloyd, Junior, Afton Leon, her twin Ellis, and Billy Joe; four sisters, Noma Maxine, Evelyn, Lorene and Florene; brothers-in-law, Elmer, Thomas, Clifford and Fred; and sisters-in-law, Nellie, Barbara, Jean, Norma, Mary, Brenda, Dorothy and Helen.
Left to miss her daily are husband, Ken of the home; daughter, and son-in-law, Kenetta and Tim Lisenbee of Midwest City, Oklahoma; son, Kendall Satterwhite of Golden, Missouri; grandchildren, Todd Lisenbee and wife Kelly of Edmond, Oklahoma, Megan Lisenbee of Spencer, Oklahoma, Dr. Amanda Satterwhite of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Collin Satterwhite of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren, Jaspen Carr, Jason Baldwin, and Ben Walker; one sister, Margaret Sue Amundson and husband Travis of Jackson, Michigan; sister-in-law, Deane Mosley of Guthrie, Oklahoma; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
When it came to her family and friends, she loved cooking and entertaining them. Her home was the family gathering place. She would sew for family and friends making many clothes for special occasions, or just because. She painted and did ceramics, talents she developed after retirement, and many were recipients of some of her handiwork. So many stories, but simply put, she love.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Suben Naidu, as her family physician, as well as Mercy Home Health and Mercy Hospice. The love, care and respect shown to our wife and mother is more greatly appreciated than words can say.
Services will be officiated by Rev. Jim Puckett and conducted by the staff at Bill Eisenhour NE Funeral Home.
