Elvin J. Lacer, 84, passed away on December 24, 2010. Elvin was born April 3, 1926 in Davenport, OK to Aura Earl and Ima Elsie (Collier) Lacer, Sr. Elvin served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed oil painting and reading.
Elvin was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 58 years, Betty; brothers, Murrel and Aura Lacer, Jr.; granddaughter, Lora Crager. Survivors include his children, Sherrie Vick, Karen Goss, Karla Crager and husband, Calvin; nephew, Stan Lacer and wife Phyllis; brother, Orland Lacer and wife Lorene; grandchildren, Shawn and Erick Vick, Julie Eastep, Holly Wiens, Sara and Angela Crager; great-grandchildren, Star, Autumn, Ciera and Eternity Vick, Nathan Wiegert, Stephanie, Zachary, and Jacob Eastep, Hannah Wiens and Matthew Eastep.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at the Bill Eisenhour Northeast Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Rossville Cemetery.
