Erdis True Dean

Erdis True Dean, 93, went to be with the Lord on March 6, 2017. Erdis was born in Agra, OK on November 12, 1923 to Jess and Ethel Matthews. Erdis was the salutatorian of her high school graduating class in Agra, OK. She and her husband, Marvin traveled throughout the United States due to Marvin being in the United States Navy. They even lived in Hawaii before it was a state. Erdis was always active in the community whether it was being president of the Garden Club, Book Club, or being the Cub Scout leader. She had many friends who enjoyed getting together playing bridge. Erdis loved her family very much, especially her grandbabies. When her grandchildren were young, she helped care for them until they were about a year old. Her grandchildren will always remember her taking the on Tinker Air Force Base. Erdis was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin Dean; siblings, Eugene Matthews and Quincey Dawes. Survivors include her son, Jim Dean (Pam); grandchildren, Sefton Dean and Jack-henry Dean; sister, Ruth Boring; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her dearly. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 11, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Midwest City with interment to follow at Arlington Memory Gardens.
