Esther Ruth Fugate

She was born October 24, 1928 in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Mose and Grettie Sneed. She married Roy Elmer Fugate “Elmer” on May 18th, 1947, in Maramac, Oklahoma. They lived there for 2 years before moving to Pawnee, OK. From Pawnee they moved to Ponca City in 1950 and remained there until moving to the Oklahoma City area in 1970 where they have lived since.

She is survived by her husband, Roy Elmer Fugate of Edmond, OK, and two daughters, Shelley Lightfoot of Oklahoma City and Carolyn Swinney of Jones, Oklahoma. Also surviving are 3 nephews, 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Esther is preceded in death by her son Ronnie Roy Fugate.

Pastor Joe Rhodes of Highland Park Baptist Church where they were members, will officiate the service at 11:00 am, Wednesday, August 14 at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper, 6600 Broadway Extension, Oklahoma City, OK, 73116, with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
