Etta Mae Henderson, 100, went to be with her Lord and Savior August 23, 2023. She was born June 28, 1923 in Blair Oklahoma to Lewis F. Edens and Ethel Edens. Etta graduated from Hobart High School where she was valedictorian. Most of her career was spent working for Kerr Mcgee Oil Company where she began as a secretary and retired as manager of the Personnel Department. Etta loved fishing, OU football, playing cards and going to Las Vegas. More than those she loved her family and friends and entertaining them in her home. She attended Portland Avenue Baptist Church for 68 years. She loved her church and was saddened when she could no longer attend. However her church family continued to visit her thru her last days.
Etta was preceded in death by the love of her life, husband Wilburn Henderson, Sister and Brother-in-Law Betty Lou and Herb Reynolds. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Randy and Sheri Henderson of Oklahoma City and nephew and niece Don and Lisa Reynolds of Cape Coral, Florida.
