Eula Mae (Blackburn) Clark, age 85, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma passed away on Monday, August 31, 2020. Services have been entrusted to the care of Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services. A public visitation has been scheduled for Thursday, September 3, 2020 from 2:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Advantage Funeral Service. A celebration of life will take place on Friday, September 4, 2020, beginning at 10:00 a.m. The committal service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Vamoosa Cemetery, just south of Seminole, Oklahoma.

Eula Mae Blackburn entered the gates of heaven on August 31, 2020. She was a resident at Willowood Assisted Living Center in Mustang at the time of her death. Previously, her home was located in Oklahoma City and she lived there for approximately 25 years. Eula Mae was born February 12, 1935 in Sasakwa, OK, to John Ellis Blackburn and Nellie Josephine Eberle Blackburn and was one of eleven children. She was a graduate of Sasakwa High School and married James E. Clark, Sr., on November 24, 1954, and they had 5 children. They divorced in 1974. Eula Mae was employed by Western Electric/AT&T for 25 years as a lead switch operator. She retired in 1991. She began quilting in approximately 1983 as a hobby and it became her passion after she retired. Eula and her companion of over 30 years, Dale Barrick, created hundreds of quilt tops and Eula quilted them all. She also quilted for other people. Eula and Dale traveled to several states to craft shows and flea markets, displaying and selling their beautiful quilts. She was a master quilter, having quilted for over 30 years. She made numerous quilts for her children and grand-children. Eula Mae is survived by her 5 children; James E. Clark (and girlfriend Althea) of Yukon, Verba Clark-Klingsick of Yukon; Tawana Gray (and husband JR) of Earlsboro, Eugene Clark of Maud, John Hoyt Clark of Homeworth, Ohio, and daughter-in-love, Vicki Barrick of Moore, OK; her brother, Jesse Blackburn of Sasakwa, OK; 12 grand-children, 17 great-grand-children and 1 great-great grand-daughter, many nieces and nephews. Eula was preceded in death by her parents, John & Nellie Eberle Blackburn; brothers, Donald, Eugene, Eutah, and Lloyd Douglas; sisters, Alvenia, Irene, Inez, Bessie, and Baby Blackburn; her companion, Dale Barrick; grandson, Phillip Edward; and son-in-law, Billy Klingsick. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, Sep 3, at Advantage Funeral Home, located at 7720 S. Penn in Oklahoma City, from 3-7 p.m. Memorial service will be held on Friday, Sep 4, at Trinity Baptist Church in Yukon, OK, starting at 10 am. A family dinner will be held at the church at 11:30 a.m., with burial at Vamoosa Cemetery south of Seminole, OK, at 2 pm.
