Evelyn Jenett Ross

Evelyn Jenett Ross, 74, of Del City passed away July 27, 2015. She was born February 19, 1941 in Mannford, Oklahoma to Sam and Mary (Hill) Boone. Evelyn married John Ross and the two had three children. She enjoyed her job assembling computer parts and electronics for many years. Evelyn enjoyed visiting casinos and a good Mexican dinner. She was an avid OU fan and enjoyed watching the Thunder play. Evelyn adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren and spent as much time with them as possible. Holidays were her favorite times of the year; she loved Easter, Valentine’s Day, and especially Christmas. Christmas was huge at Evelyn’s house and her family fondly remembers the baby dolls and jeeps. The best part of Christmas for Evelyn and the family was the Christmas meal. The good food and even better company were very special to her. Evelyn was a great cook, but she was famous for her pecan pie. The recipe has yet to be duplicated. Evelyn leaves her family with many, many wonderful years worth of memories to cherish and she will be greatly missed. She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Milo; sons, Kevin Adkins and wife Teresa and Bryan Adkins; grandchildren, Brennen, Diamon, John, Natasha, Maranda, Nicole, Andrew, Meaghan, Melissa and Dylan; great grandchildren, Ryelie, Otto, Lundon, Braxton, Raelea, Aubree, Noah and Elise; sisters, Yvonne Anderson and husband Gordon, Donna Boone, and Betty Brashears and husband Kenneth; brother, Jack Boone; and numerous nieces and nephews. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; and brothers, R.L. Boone and Jerry Boone. Funeral services will be held 12:00 pm, Friday, July 31, 2015 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel with burial to follow at Arlington Memory Gardens.
