

Evelyn was born on August 14, 1925 to Margaret and William Hipperson in Regina, Saskatchewan,, Canada. She met the love of her life, Charles Edward Tidholm (Ed) while studying at the University of Manitoba. They were married on June 15th, 1949, and shortly thereafter moved to Oklahoma City, where she spent the rest of her life. Evelyn and Ed had four children to which she was a devoted mother. In addition to being a wonderful wife and mother to her family, Evelyn found time through the years to serve her church and community in countless ways. She was active at All Souls Episcopal church and was a longtime supporter of the OKC Symphony Orchestra. She had a beautiful voice and was a member of the Canterbury Choir for many years. Evelyn and Ed also enjoyed ballroom dancing at their country club. Evelyn loved holidays and birthdays with her family. Her blueberry pie was legendary.
As a child, Evelyn was an accomplished ice skater. She also enjoyed golf and played regularly until her mid 80s. Evelyn also enjoyed gardening and traveling the world. Even in her later years, Evelyn never lost her mental acuity. It was wonderful and a blessing to have Joy Howard taking care of Evelyn for the last 6 years.
Evelyn was preceded by her husband Ed and her brother Donald Hipperson. She is survived by her son Donald ( wife Debbie) and his daughters, Stacey Reinholtz and Christie Tidholm (Ben) and son Zac (Caitlin); David (with wife Mary), his daughters Elaine Mitchell (Matt), Emily Hays and Julie Nauer (Justin); daughter, Barbara Thompson (with husband, John), their children Elizabeth Thompson, Corbett (Lauren) and Laura Ernst (Everest), and son John (with wife, Mary) and children, Jack (Leanna), Luke and Meg; and 13 great grandchildren.
Evelyn‘s funeral service will be on November 24th, 2025 at 1:00 PM at All Souls' Episcopal Church, 6400 N Pennsylvania Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73116.
