Evon Faye Burk was born on May 8, 1944, in Pampa, Texas. She went to school, graduated and moved to Shawnee, Oklahoma. There she met George Burk, they married on March 7, 1981. They moved to Choctaw, Oklahoma and built a home where she and George lived until Evon died on September 14, 2026.
Evon worked at Tinker Air Force Base where she retired after 28 years. She was an artist and she loved to sew and read.
She is survived by her husband George, her niece Kelli Sutton, her great nephews Kyler, Kaleb, and great niece Kori.
She is also survived by her friend of 57 years, Kay Wheeler and daughters Shanna and Lisa.
Evon will be buried on September 18, 2026, at Sunny Lane Cemetery in the Veteran’s area.
Evon will be sorely missed by all her family and friends!
