Florene M. Schroer

Florene M. Schroer, age 92, passed away peacefully, January 10, 2011. She was born March 16, 1918 in Waurika, Oklahoma to John and Ethel Maude Willis Stewart. She married John Schroer, Sr. on October 2, 1937 in Guthrie, OK. He preceded her in death in 1988.

Florene was a member of Trinity Baptist Church of Oklahoma City, since the 1940’s and was also a charter member of the Chariteers. Florene and her husband John Sr. were the owners of the Boulevard Cafeteria from 1956 until their retirement in 1979. Florene was a loving and special mother and adored grandmother and will be deeply missed by all.

She is survived by daughter, Beverly Brown and her husband, Donald; son, John F. Schroer, Jr.; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Cameron; sons, Robert Schroer, and William “Bill” Schroer.

Visitation will be 6-8:00 P.M. Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Guardian West Chapel in Oklahoma City, OK.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 P.M., Friday, January 14, 2011 at Rose Hill Burial Park in Oklahoma City.
