Frances Kay Clark, born on August 18, 1956, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away on October 18, 2026, in Norman, Oklahoma. Frances was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose love, laughter, and unforgettable personality will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Frances was a woman who loved her family dearly and held a special place in the hearts of those around her. She was known as the best grandma ever, and her family was one of the greatest joys of her life. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love that will continue through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and generations to come.
Frances earned her bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO). After graduating, she went on to work for more than 20 years at Hertz Rent A Car, where she dedicated many years of her life to her career.
Outside of work, Frances enjoyed the simple things that made life special. She loved watching football, especially cheering on her Oklahoma State Cowboys and Dallas Cowboys. She also loved crocheting and creating beautiful things, including blankets, jackets, and all kinds of handmade treasures. Each piece she made carried a little of her time, talent, and love.
One of Frances’s favorite ways to spend her free time was going to Mama Lou’s, where she could smoke, drink lots of coffee, and sit and talk. Those moments of conversation and companionship were special to her, and the memories made there will always be cherished by those who shared them with her.
One of the brightest joys in Frances’s heart was the excitement of becoming a great-grandmother once again. She was especially thrilled about the arrival of her great-granddaughter, Kaylyn Ann Clark, who is expected in March 2027. Frances looked forward to welcoming Kaylyn into the family, and although she will not be here to hold her, the love she already had for Kaylyn will forever be part of her family’s story.
Frances is survived by her daughters, Shannon Lee Clark-Force and Margaret Golden, and her son, Jason Morgan. She is also survived by her sons-in-law, Jason Lee Force and Don Golden, and her daughter-in-law, Jen Morgan.
Her beloved grandsons are James Clark, Burak Clark, and Alan Golden. Her beloved granddaughters are Emel Clark, Tessa Skaggs, Micheala Golden, Tiffany Morgan, and Hannah Russell. She is also survived by her grandsons’ wives, Klarissa Clark and Tasha Ledgerwood, and her granddaughter’s husbands, Alick Skaggs and Vincent Pitts.
Frances was also a proud great-grandmother to many, many children, each adding to the wonderful family she loved so dearly. She leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will remember her and cherish the memories they shared with her.
Frances was preceded in death by the love of her life, James Edward Clark; her mother, Nellie Hopper; her father, Alvis Morgan; and her sisters, Liz, Cathie, and Patty.
Though Frances’s passing leaves a tremendous hole in the hearts of her family and friends, the memories she created will never fade. Her love for her family, her passion for crocheting, her football traditions, her coffee-filled visits at Mama Lou’s, and her one-of-a-kind spirit will live on in the stories told and the lives she touched.
Frances was more than a mother and grandmother. She was a source of love, comfort, laughter, and family connection. She will be remembered for the love she gave, the time she shared, and the special place she held in so many hearts.
While her family says goodbye with broken hearts, they can take comfort in knowing that her love will continue through every generation that follows her. Her great-grandchildren will grow up hearing stories about the wonderful woman who loved them before they even arrived, and her family will continue to honor her memory in the little things she loved most.
Frances was a great mom, a great grandmother, a great-great-grandmother, a great sister, and a great aunt. In truth, Frances was just an all-around wonderful person in so many ways. She had a special way of bringing love into the lives of her family, and the impact she made will never be forgotten.
She was loved in more ways than words could ever explain, and her absence will be felt for years to come. The memories, laughter, lessons, and love she left behind will forever remain in the hearts of everyone who knew her.
Frances Kay Clark was deeply loved, will be forever missed, and will always be remembered as the best grandma ever.
We all love you, Frances, and we will miss you forever. No words can truly express how much you meant to all of us. You will always be a part of our hearts, our memories, and our family. Your love will continue to live on through every generation, and you will never be forgotten.
