Frank attended Wewoka High School (Home of the Tigers), were he met his High School Sweetheart, Sandra Kay. He graduated in 1958 and happily married Sandra in 1960. After high school, he enlisted in the Air Force from August 1958 until February 1970. During his years of service, Frank toured the world going from MacDill Air Force Base in Florida to overseas in Germany and France. Frank served in the Vietnam War and then shortly enlisted in the Army National Guard in February 1973.
He worked as a Mechanic for UPS, in Oklahoma City until he retired. Frank was a member of Middleberg Baptist Church. He enjoyed “Food” and “Bingo”, researching and studying Civil Wars, traveling to Battle Fields and loved working on engines. There wasn’t an engine in sight he couldn’t fix or work on. Meeting Frank, was well, “Frank”. He was a mean what I say – say what I mean type of guy. Some called him “Salty” but his family just called him “well-seasoned”.
Frank and Sandra celebrated 64 happy years of marriage together on March 10, 2024.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra; son, Frank and wife Melissa Megow of OKC, OK; daughter, Debra and husband Charles Rowland of Blanchard, OK; grandsons, Lance and wife Brittany Megow, Sean Megow, Jarrod and wife Cynthia Rowland of Chickasha, OK, Jeremy Rowland of Mustang, OK; granddaughter, Angela Webb and great grandchildren; Tessa, Makayla, Kylie, Isabel, Kayla, Grant, Wyatt, and Ridge.
Frank is preceded in death by his father Leo Megow; mother, Johnnie Mae Feland; daughter, Peggy Diane Satterly and grandson Dalton Jacob Rowland.
A visitation for Frank will be held Friday, March 22, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services, 7720 South Pennsylvania Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73159. A funeral service will occur Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Middleberg Baptist Church, 2341 Old Hwy 62, Blanchard, OK 73010.
Any flowers can be sent to the Advantage Funeral Home prior to the date of the service or the morning of.
