Frank Elmer Wade

Frank was born on February 4, 1947, in Madisonville, Texas to parents Elmer Preston and Fannie Mae (La Salle) Wade. Shortly after he was born, at 11 months old his family moved to Houston, Texas where he grew up and completed high school. Following graduation, he joined the Army at the age of 17. While in the Army, he went on to serve in the Vietnam War, which was a great accomplishment. After his discharge as a disabled Veteran, he roamed around from the Army, always finding his way back to Houston.

Frank found the love of his life, Mary Kathleen (Kathy) Wade whom he married on April 26, 1975, spending 49 wonderful love-filled years together. In 1984, they moved to Norman, Oklahoma, before settling in Alvarado, Texas in 2006. In their marriage they had three children; Timothy Lee Wade, Daniel Talton Hendrex, and David Dwayne Wade, whom they loved and adored dearly.

A perfect day for Frank would be spending time with his kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. He loved to watch them play. He enjoyed listening to Country and Western music, he also had a great sense of humor. Frank would pick on his family and loved to watch good comedy movies. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He made sure to show those around him how wonderful life could be with the right person by your side. Frank loved his family more than anything in the world and would even dress as Santa for Christmas. He was a great man with great accomplishments in life, but he was most proud of the family that he created.

Though Frank has passed, his memory and light will live on through those that he cherished the most. He will be remembered as the kind-hearted and loving man that he was and as a Veteran that served his Country with pride.

He was preceded in death by his parents Elmer Preston and Fannie Mae (La Salle) Wade and his first son, Timothy Lee Wade.

He was survived by his loving wife Mary Kathleen (Kathy) Wade, his second son Daniel Talton Hendrex and wife Christina of Fort Eustis, Virginia, his third son David Dwayne Wade and his wife BreAnna of Norman, Oklahoma, along with this five grandchildren: Courtney Marie Payne, David Ray Wade, BreAnna Dawn Wade, Sydney Taylor Hendrex and Alex Hendrex, and three great grandchildren.
