I always refer to Fred as Mr Manek, but to others, I called him "My Sweet Old Man Fred." I will certainly miss seeing him wave from across our yards as we both are mowing, visiting about our gardens, sharing a smile, and bringing him and Mrs Manek my homemade bread. He gave me a beautiful brass/jadite antique floor lamp that I always brag about and tell the story Mr Manek told me about it.
Mr Manek was a wonderful man that I have grown to love. He always reminded me of my own grandfather. He will always have the utmost respect from both my husband and myself. Our hearts will carry on his memory. We are blessed to have been neighbors.

Fred was one of the true originals at Tom Hoch Design...He was an extremely talented and dedicated master craftsman of the finest cabinetry and fixtures. Fred was always direct and was never one to mince words. He was quick to offer great advice on building things better. For it the company was able to provide a great product for its customers across the country. I and everyone that ever new Fred will always have the fondest of memories of him. He certainly left this world a better place....
