Fred Alvin Wigley

Fred was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on August 11, 1953 to Willard Ray and Gloria Kay Wigley. He worked 25 years in law enforcement as a captain at the sheriff’s office.

Fred was a strong and kind man who will always be remembered for his big personality and his love for life. He enjoyed fishing, going to the casino, and spending time with his wife, which was his favorite person to tease and laugh with. Fred wasn’t one to hold back; he always spoke his mind, stood his ground, and showed up for the people he cared about. Some of his happiest moments were spent with his grandkids, who lit up his world and always brought out his soft side.

His presence filled a room, and so will his memory. We miss him deeply, but we carry him with us every day.

Fred is preceded in death by his parents, Willard Ray and Gloria Kay Wigley; sister, Kathy Wigley; and brother, Wayne Wigley. He is survived by his wife, Theresa M. Bond; children, Lauren and Jaden Geckles; grandkids, Kinley, Jace and Kellan; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside for Fred will be held Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Bennington Cemetery in Bennington, OK 74723.
