

Gary Edward Lange, 67, of Midwest City passed away August 25, 2014. He was born June 27, 1947 in Manhattan, New York to Karl and Bertha Lange. Gary married Evelyn, the love of his life, on November 27, 1972 in Tokyo, Japan. He was stationed there with the US Air Force and she was there with her family while her father served there. They returned to the states and Gary retired from his military career at Tinker Air Force Base. He then went to work for the Oklahoma Tax Commission and later retired from there. Gary was a member of the Open Door Baptist Church and never missed a service. He was recently awarded a plaque for 28 years of perfect attendance. Gary enjoyed being home and taking life slowly. Most mornings you could find him watching CNN and when evenings came it was time for M*A*S*H. He also enjoyed collecting Star Wars and Star Trek memorabilia. Gary is survived by his daughter, Teresa Walker and husband Michael; son, Michael Lange; grandchildren, Christopher Sweeney, Christian Escritt, Cheyenne Sweeney, Zachary Lange, and Hannah Lange; brother, Richard Lange and wife Cindy, and numerous other loving relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Evelyn.
