

George Herman Freeman, 67 year-old resident of Midwest City, Oklahoma, passed away January 17, 2016 at his home. Born September 29, 1948 in Hugo, Oklahoma, he was the son of Louis Freeman and Gracie Lee (Young) Freeman. George was a longtime supervisor at a Conoco Oil Chemical plant. He was a good family man and always had a joke to tell. He loved fishing; cooking; playing Dominoes; and watching football and westerns on TV. Preceding him in death were his parents, Louis and Gracie Freeman; 1 brother, Tommie Amous; and 1 sister, Rena Freeman. Survivors include 2 sons, Shawn and his wife Crystal Freeman of Oklahoma City; Timothy Freeman of Midwest City; 1 granddaughter whom he raised as a daughter, Alexis Freeman; 5 step-children, John Shevetta; Napoleon Shevetta; Candy Carbaljal; CheChe Carbaljal; and Chanita Carbaljal; grandchildren, Timothy Jordan Freeman, Jr.; Ali Nixon; Reuban LaSarge; Joaquin Nixon; Melvin Nixon; Khode Freeman; Khory Freeman; and Isaiah Freeman; 2 brothers, Louis Freeman, Jr. of Hugo, OK; and Kenneth and his wife Emma Freeman of Paris, TX; 6 sisters, Ethel Freeman of MWC, OK; Dorothy Lennox of OKC, OK; Daisy Miller of Omaha, NE; Leola McCarty of Huntsville, TX; Marion Curry of Huntsville, TX; and Louisteen Justice of Huntsville, TX; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Faith, Hope & Love Missionary Baptist Church at 2727 SE 59th St., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
