George Edwin Grigsby passed away April 18, 2022. George was born in Mangum, Oklahoma on November 9, 1933 to Mary Violet Bucklin Grigsby and Edwin Jesse Grigsby. He is preceded in death by both. George graduated from Mangum High School in 1952, and then attended the University of Oklahoma where he obtained a B.A. in Journalism in 1958. George was a proud member of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity. George received an Honorable Discharge from the United States Army in May 1962, and was Honorably Discharged from the United States Navy Reserves in April 1984. He married Charlotte Hardy in 1976, his wife of 46 years. George worked many years in sales and Public Relations Industry. He spent his later years in the world of golf. His hobbies included, taking cruises with Charlotte, everything golf related and all Sooner Sports and crossword puzzles. George was a longtime friend of Bill W. for 39 years and inspired others within the fellowship. He leaves behind and is cherished by his loving wife, Charlotte, his three children, David Grigsby of Kansas City, Scott Grigsby and wife Georganna of Tomball, TX, his daughter, Anne Grigsby Christmann of St. Louis, MO, his 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He is forever in our hearts and will be greatly missed. A prayer service will be held on Saturday, April 23rd, at 6:00 pm at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper, 6600 Broadway Extension, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73116.
