

Guida Lea Irvin, 89 year-old resident of Choctaw, Oklahoma, passed away January 11, 2012 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Born August 29, 1922 in Heavener, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Jacob John LaGasse and Guida Holden LaGasse. Guida was a former supervisor of computer operations at Tinker A.F.B., retiring after 42 years. She enjoyed traveling and had been to all 48 states; needlework; reading; Christmas; and watching classic movies. Her favorite color was RED. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Dane Irvin; 2 sisters, Grace Barber and Frankie Murray; and 1 brother, John LaGasse. Survivors include 1 son, David Irvin of Choctaw, Oklahoma; 4 daughters, Marcia Irvin of Choctaw, Oklahoma; Sherry Irvin of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Shirley Burgess of Arlington, Texas; Sandra Irvin of Del City, Oklahoma; 1 brother, Louis LaGasse of Joplin, Missouri; 1 sister, Mary Wallace of Pearland, Texas; 3 grandchildren, Stephanie and Matt Chilek of Frisco, Texas; Tony and Maya Burgess of Frisco, Texas; and Jeff Burgess of Mesquite, Texas; 5 great-grandchildren, Ashley Chilek; Kaitlyn Chilek; James David Chilek; Mary Allison Chilek; and Anthony James “T.J.” Burgess; all of Frisco, Texas: and a number of nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Funeral Home on Friday, January 13, 2012 from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel, 8805 NE 23rd St., Oklahoma City, OK, 73141 with Reverend Greg Ball officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation.
