Lucy was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, and by her parents, her brother, and her sister, Eleanor Hein, all of DeKalb County, Illinois.
Lucy was a graduate of Northern Illinois University and spent thirty five years in elementary education. Many will remember her years teaching at West School in Sycamore.
She was born and resided her whole life in DeKalb County, Illinois before moving to Oklahoma City in 2002 to be near her family.
Lucy is survived by her son, Gary and his wife Bobara, of Oklahoma City, OK, her granddaughter, Sara of Los Angeles, CA, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held at All Souls’ Episcopal Church in Oklahoma City, on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. Her ashes will be interred at her husband’s side at the Elmwood Cemetery in Sycamore, Illinois. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
