Harriet Jane Simmons left this life for a better one on November 13, 2011. She was born October 7, 1913, in Oklahoma City to Laurinda Elizabeth Carver and Charles Manford Simmons. Her mother and grandparents came to Oklahoma in 1889, her grandfather being in the run of 1889. She worked for many years in the offices of her brother-in-law, Walter D. Snell, who was a certified public accountant. She retired from the firm of Snell and Simmons in 1978. She was a lifetime member of the First Presbyterian Church, being baptized in 1925 by Dr. Howard. There are no survivors. Services will be held at Fairlawn Cemetery, 11 a.m., Wednesday, November 16, 2011. The request is for no flowers to be sent but for memorials to be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Lung Association.
