On Nov. 4, 1924, Hazel Marie McIntire was born in Roosevelt, Ok., to George and Birdie (Malone) McKinnis. At the age of 90, she was promoted to glory on Weds, Oct. 21 at Bradford Village in Edmond, where she had received incredible care for the past 3 years. She earned her degree in education from OU and taught school in Midwest City. On June 28, 1952 she married Wm. Forrest McIntire, who preceded her in death after 50 years of marriage. They were longtime members of Bible Presbyterian Church in Collingswood, N.J. They were privileged to travel extensively, with Hazel’s most memorable trips being to the Holy Land and Kenya.
She is survived by her brother-in-law, Ray Watkins, nieces Sandy Largo (Rich) and Gail Turner (Carl), nephews Randal Watkins (Donna) and Ed Watkins (Debbi). Several nieces and nephews from Forrest’s side of the family, as well as numerous great and great, great nieces and nephews remain.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her sisters Alma Fowler and Jo Watkins, in addition to her brother-in-law Sherman Fowler and one nephew, Richard Fowler.
