Born in Altus, OK, Hazel was the second oldest daughter of Nelson and Lillie Ashley. She graduated from Southeast High School of Oklahoma City in 1965. She worked for the Norman Bank of Commerce and Regency Park Baptist Church, but she spent most of her years as a dedicated wife and mother.
Hazel was a member of Southern Hills Baptist Church. She enjoyed collecting teddy bears and antiques.
She will be remembered for her tiny stature and her huge heart.
She is survived by her two sons, Gregg (Kimberly) Reeves and Darin (Reneé Pierce) Reeves; her three sisters, Ruth Johnson (Bobby), Gloria Clay, and Phyllis Lacer (Stan); her two brothers, Boyd Ashley (Michelle) and Bruce Ashley; and many nieces and nephews. She is most importantly survived by her beloved grandchildren Sophia and Parker Reeves.
Hazel was preceded in death by her husband Jimmie Reeves and her parents Nelson and Lillie Ashley.
