Helen Alvis, 84 year-old resident of Midwest City, Oklahoma, passed away March 18, 2018 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Born January 25, 1934 in New High Park, New York, she was the daughter of Stanley Okula and Mary (Bacik) Okula. Helen was a homemaker. She loved traveling, especially to Hawaii, all oceans and beaches, Casino’s, Bingo, Dining out, and watching “Perry Mason and Columbo” reruns on TV. Preceding her in death were her parents, Mary and Stanley Okula; her husband, Jackie Alvis; 1 son, Richard Alvis; 1 daughter, Debra Alvis; 1 sister, Lillian Okula; and 1 brother, Walter Okula. Survivors include 2 sons, Dale and his former wife Shery Alvis of Midwest City, Oklahoma; Robin and his significant other, Vickie Alvis of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 1 grandson, Brandon Alvis of Midwest City, Oklahoma; and 1 brother, Stanley Okula of Orlando, Florida. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Arlington Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, 3400 N. Midwest Blvd., Oklahoma City, OK 73141. Entombment will follow at the Arlington Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
