Helen Cooksey, 71, joined her savior on November 10, 2010. She was born January 4, 1939 in Tuttle, Oklahoma to Virgil Clyde and Leona (Kelley) Unsell. Helen was a cross country truck driver for 25 years. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, oil painting, and trucking with her husband, Bill.
She was preceded in death by her father; husband, Bill “Sonny” Cooksey; one infant son; and one sister, Betty Dover. Survivors include her mother, Leona Allspaugh; children, Dianna McKinzy and husband Monty, Debria Durocher, Clayton Cooksey and wife Leslie; four grandchildren, Stacey, Glenn, Bryan and William; brother, Howard Unsell; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 13, 2010 at the Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
