Helen was an amazing, special friend to me.  She cared for both of my children, Graham and Lea, in her home when they were very small.  Their experience at Helen's house was always positive, and they were always happy to be with her.  Helen had an wonderful presence with children.  She was always compassionate and kind using her wonderful smile and sense of humor to deal with any problems that might come up during the day.  I remember her laugh and her enjoyment of the little ones as she told stories about funny things that happened with them while I was working.  She was the first to discover my daughter's first tooth, to potty train my son, and to notice new developments in them as they matured.  She was not just my "babysitter", but a true friend and mentor to me.  She was a wonderful tribute to "The Greatest Generation".  She lived her life with joy and grace. She impacted and enriched the lives of so many with her love and devotion.
