Hilda Heinze Keith, 97, was born December 18, 1912 and completed her life’s journey on October 23, 2010, at home in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born in Hitchcock, OK to Katherine and Jacob Heinze. She graduated from Hitchcock High School in 1930, and then completed Draughon’s Practical Business College OKC. Hilda married Paul Keith May 1, 1937, even though her father, Jacob, warned Paul that he would never have a large enough table to feed everyone she wanted to feed. He joined her in her campaign to love and serve all who came their way. As a long time member of Disciples of Christ churches she served as Sunday School Director and as Children’s Librarian. She partnered Paul in Clyde’s Carburetor Service, serving as secretary/bookkeeper from 1945 until their retirement in 1986. Always a generous hostess and homemaker, no one ever left her table unfed or her house unblessed. She was known among numerous family and friends for her open door and heart. Many a niece or nephew or college friend found a home with Hilda and Paul where she filled the table with delicious and plentiful food. She was an indefatigable needlepoint artist and afghan maker. Hilda is survived by her daughter Kitty Keith; son, Richard Keith and his wife, Deborah Cunningham Keith; grandchildren, Rebecca Martens and her husband, Christopher, Joshua Stanley and his wife, Marnia Johnstone, Gideon Keith-Stanley, Miriam Keith-Stanley, Jared Keith and Clayton Keith; great grandchildren, Alexander and Jaden Martens; sister, Anna Heinze Nelson; and many devoted and loyal nieces, nephews and other family members.
