

Born on February 10, 1938 in San Luis Potosí, Mexico. Hipolito was the beloved son of Thomas Herrera and Eva Sanchez and lovingly raised by his mom, Natalia Herrera. He proudly became a U.S. citizen in 1982, a milestone he cherished deeply and where he built a life rooted in hard work, love for his family, and deep faith.
Hipolito worked in the service industry for many years, known for his strong work ethic, kind heart, and willingness to help others. He was a man of principle, humility, and quiet strength. Outside of work, he enjoyed reading, spending time at the beach and was happiest surrounded by family and friends.
He is survived by his daughter April Miller and husband Mike Miller; daughter Eva Donahue and husband Tom Donahue; grandchildren Vanessa Miller, Ava Miller, Thomas Donahue, Destiny Donahue Alexis Donahue and great granddaughter Grace Otero-Miller; brothers Alberto Herrera and Jesus Herrera; sisters Maria Paredes; Maria Isabel; Chavela; Chela; and Maria Garcia and many nieces and nephews he cherished as well as several extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents Eva Sanchez, Thomas Herrera, Natalia Herrera; brothers Heron Herrera, Leonzo Herrera, Marcelo Herrera, Ascension (Chon) Herrera
In honoring his legacy, the family asks that you simply take a moment to hug your loved ones and remember the values he stood for family, faith, and perseverance.
A visitation for Hipolito will be from 4 pm - 7 pm on Friday, August 8, 2025 at Advantage Funeral Home. Service will be on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 10 am at Advantage Funeral Home Chapel, located at 7720 S. Pennsylvania Ave, OKC, OK with interment to follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
