

Oklahoma City in 1955. It was there that he met the love of his life, Kay, and they were married on August 2, 1958.
On May 26, 1959, they welcomed their daughter, Kathy, followed by the birth of their son, Lee, on December 28, 1961. Homer was immensely proud of his children and deeply devoted to his family.
Homer began his career with Council Construction Company, where he worked his way up to the position of vice president before the company closed in 1982. He then continued his career with Foreman Construction Company, specializing in office interior work. Many cherished family memories were made during weekends spent camping and fishing with relatives and friends.
In 1982, Homer joined the Jones Masonic Lodge, an organization he dearly loved and remained devoted to throughout his life.
Homer passed away on December 24, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gus Lee and Nettie James; four brothers, Tom, Dale, Donald, and Ronald James; and his sister, Mary Jones. Two nephews Mike Thomas and Randy James, Brother-in-law, Bill Jones and two sisters-in-laws, Sheila James and Roberta James.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Kay James; his daughter, Kathy Grubb (Abby); his son, Lee James (Rebecca); seven grandchildren, Karman Vasquez (Ernest), Adam Grubb (Marla), Ricky James (Lisa), Gary James (Becca), Brandon James (Megan), Bethanie James, and Brady James (Piper); nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; two brothers, Robert James (Lillian) and Willie James; two sisters, Rita Foster and Wilma Pierce (Ralph); numerous nieces and nephews; and his faithful furry companion, Lovey.
Homer will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A visitation will be held at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, located at 8805 NE 23rd Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73141, on December 29, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
The funeral service will take place at the same location on December 30, 2025, starting at 11:00 am.
Burial will follow at Jones IOOF Cemetery, located on N Hiwassee Rd, Jones, OK 73049, on December 30, 2025.
