

Howard, 99, went to be with his Lord Sept. 20, 2018 at the Veterans Center in Norman. He was born in Lawton to Willis Wray and Mason Ray Paramore and grew up in Duncan, OK. The family moved to Oklahoma City in 1936 and he graduated from Classen High School in 1937. He enlisted in the Coast Guard in 1940 and served through WWII. He married Elma Hirst in 1944 and they established their home in Oklahoma City. Howard was a union contract painter and then part of the St. Anthony Hospital maintenance staff for the last 15 years of his career. He was a devoted member of Trinity Baptist Church OKC for 82 years where he served as a deacon and sang in the senior adult choir. He was a faithful caregiver for his wife during the last 20 years of her life. He is preceded in death by his wife Elma of 63 years, four brothers. John, Ed, Floyd and Lee, and his son Gary. He is survived by his daughter-in- law Pam Paramore of Carrollton, TX, son Terry Paramore (Kathleen) of Half Moon Bay, CA
and daughter Cheryl (Rick) Malone of OKC. He treasured his grandchildren Elsa Christie, Emily Paramore, Adam Paramore, Amy Paramore, Andy Malone (Holly), Amanda Bratton (Jay), Jon Malone (Laura), Sarah Kennedy (Chris), Josh Malone (Cacey), Grant Malone (Hannah) and Mark Malone. He also took great enjoyment in his 14 great grandchildren Henry Christie, Anna Bratton, Justice Bratton, Alexa Kennedy, Abram Malone, Liyla Bratton, Charity Malone, Asher Bratton, Caleb Malone, Luke Malone, Quincy Bratton, Pax Malone, Hudson Malone and number 14 due this Friday.
