A free spirit, always a contrarian and frequently irreverent. A grateful recovering alcoholic. He was forever seeking, always inquisitive, talented in so many ways yet rarely satisfied with his many pursuits. He began with lessons on life’s virtues and vicissitudes from his mother and two grandmothers. These lessons - though altered and torn, lasted until the end – returning to the spiritual and human virtues of life they taught. He enjoyed exploring the universal human condition and its alchemy across the U.S., Mexico, The Americas, Spain and the PRC. Always listening, learning, teaching, questioning convention and pushing the envelope. He dined with the great and near great yet preferred the company of ordinary people – people whom he regarded as truly extraordinary.
Hawthorne, Olivia, Christian, and Miss Josey and Clementine are his legacy. Each of whom possessing uncommon character and honorable accomplishment. He loved them passionately always telling them how proud he was to be their dad. There are likewise countless comrades from around the world with whom he shared the buen camino - life’s road to happy destiny. He will await you in the great beyond. He was a proud supporter of the ACLU, Amnesty International and Medicines San Frontiers.
A celebration of life will be held at Unity Spiritual Life Center located at 5603 NW 41st
St, Warr Acres, OK on Saturday January 15 at 1:00 PM. Arrangements by Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper.
