

Ida Leota Beck, 96 year-old resident of Midwest City, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2014 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Born July 23, 1917 in Sulphur, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of James Claud Moss and Frankie Jane Potter Moss. Ida was the youngest of 7 siblings and all of her siblings preceded her in death. She grew up in the Sulphur area and often spoke of riding the train on her father’s lap as he drove on the track between Sulphur and Ada. She married Emmanuel Waldron Columbus Hill in 1934, and they had 4 children, Barbara, Danny, Richard and Judith. She married Jessie Edward Beck in 1946 and they had 3 children: Bobbie, Sue and Cindy. She was also preceded in death by both husbands; her parents; one daughter, Judith Jones and 1 granddaughter, “little Judy.” She is survived by her remaining 6 children, Barbara Hill of Sulphur, OK; Danny Hill of Midwest City, OK; Richard Hill of OKC, OK; Bobbie Beck and his wife Judy of Midwest City, OK; Sue and her husband Larry Terry of Nicoma Park, OK; and Cindy Peery of Wellston, OK; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. She had 5 generations present for her dinner on Mother’s Day, 1 week before she died. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at the First Baptist Church of Choctaw, 2700 N. Main St., Choctaw, OK 73020 with Marshall Lucas officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Memory Gardens, Midwest City, Oklahoma.
