

with her Lord and Savior on August 5, 2018 after a long illness.
Christeen was born in Oklahoma City on May 14, 1936. She
graduated from Yukon High School, attended the University of
Oklahoma where she earned a Bachelor of Education and her
Master’s Degree in Counseling.
Christeen was married to Daniel A. Miller until his death. She
then married John D. Parasich and they enjoyed 25 years together.
Christeen taught second-grade for twenty-six years at Calvin
Coolidge Elementary School in Oklahoma City. She was very
creative, enjoying many hobbies, traveling, cruises, bus trips,
gardening, and grandchildren. Christeen was an active member of
the Red Hatters and served on the board of the Christian Women's
Fellowship and as an elder at Southwest Christian Church in
Oklahoma City. She was a current member of The First Christian
Church of Moore.
Christeen is survived by her husband John D. Parasich, Sr., and
daughters, Denise Brown and husband Al, Deanna Bailey and
husband Lindsay, Lisa Davis and husband Keith, son, Michael
Miller, 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Christeen is
also survived by John's children, John D. Parasich, Jr. and wife
Kathy, Shelli Kent and husband Karl, and John’s 4 grandchildren
and 3 great grandchildren, along with other family members and
friends.
Christeen was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and
Lillian Shephard, and her brother Tom Mays.
A memorial service will be held at The First Christian Church of
Moore at a later date.
