Irene Rowland

Irene Rowland, 95, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma passed away on October 26, 2024. She was born July 27, 1929 to George and Mary Whalin in Oklahoma City, OK. Irene loved her family and absolutely adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren and couldn’t wait to get to Heaven and hold her grandson Dalton. She loved her dog, Hoggie, and visiting with her family and friends. She loved going to garage sales.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents, George Eugene Whalin and Mary Jane Whalin; brothers, Albert Whalin, Leroy Whalin, and Tommy Whalin; sisters, Ida Whalin and Ethel Huffman and one grandson, Dalton Rowland.

Irene is survived by her son, Charles Rowland and his wife Debra. Their children, Jarrod Rowland and his wife Cynthia and Jeremy Rowland. Great-grandchildren, Tessa Carter, Makayla Leuthen, Kylie Rowland, Izzy Harmon, Grant Harmon, Wyatt Rowland, and Ridge Rowland. As well as a host of other family members and friends.

She lived a good long life and was ready to go home. She was always one to say what was on her mind Even if you did not agree with her! And she was very independent.

She will be greatly missed.

A visitation for Irene will be held Friday, November 1, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services, 7720 South Pennsylvania Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73159. A funeral service will occur Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services.
