Isabella Liles

“I, Isabella Liles, was born April 3, 1934 to Virgil and Willie Phillips in Grayson Community, Wilburton, OK, Latimer County. Went to Grayson Grade School from 1-8th grade, then to Wilburton High School, graduating in 1951.

“Went to work at Dentis Tomato Co. Friday, August 13, 1954.That’s where I met my cowboy (Joe M. Liles). We were married in Wichita Falls, Texas on January 28th,1956. Had a beautiful baby girl July 26th, 1957, then we had a delicate baby boy March 3rd, 1960.

“Joe and I had 35 short years together. I felt like we were cheated out of some time together.

“Joe and I were baptized by Leo Richardson at Southwest 36th St. Church of Christ. Did our best to raise our children right so they could know right from wrong. We didn’t have too much material way but there was plenty of love. Then late one evening, Joe told me he was ready to go home.” – Isabella Liles

On Sunday, January 19th , 2025, Isabella Liles went to her heavenly home to join the love of her life to celebrate his birthday after almost 34 years apart. In her final weeks, she was lovingly cared for by her daughter, Sandy, her great niece, Cynthia, and the sweetest people with hospice.

Isabella is preceded in death by her parents – Virgil and Willie Phillips, her husband – Joe M. Liles, their son- Joe V. Liles, her sister – Aldean Harris, and her great grandson- Alexander Liles, among many friends and other relatives.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandy White and husband Bill, granddaughters – Codie White, Casie Moore, Melissa Jones and husband Casey, Misty Rogers, and Molly Dixon and husband Richard, her great grandkids- Sapphire Martinez, Chloe and Cyler Rogers, Kaiyrah and Amari Moore, Garyn White and Maverick and Amelia Dixon, her great, great grandsons- Liam Rosales and Eric Liles, along with several nieces , nephews, cousins, and her honorary grandson, Steven Darby.

A viewing will be Thursday, January 23, 2025 from 4- 7 pm. At Advantage Funeral Home. The graveside service is on Friday, January 24th, 10 am at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
