Jack was born in Quinton, Oklahoma in 1935 to Bud and Carrie Bennight. He was one of 4 children and is survived by his eldest brother Buddy.
Jack enjoyed working and staying busy completing consecutive 25+ year careers, first as an electronics technician at Tinker Air force base and later as an airport parking lot support staff at Will Rogers Airport. During this 2nd career he also worked mowing yards and collected much mowing, trimming, and cutting equipment. In his spare time, he enjoyed reading and studying the bible and other biblical readings. He was a regular attendee at BSF for many years.
Jack was a faithful and steadfast supporter of several non-profits including city rescue mission and St. Jude’s children’s hospital. He helped family and friends when ever possible. He loved traditional country music and gospel music. He loved to square dance and which allowed him to just be himself. He enjoyed photography and took countless photos of people, scenery, and his dogs.
He is survived by his wife Glenda; children, Alice, Nathan, Eric; and grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
Funeral and graveside services will be held on May 3rd beginning with viewing at 1pm, service at 2pm and graveside immediately after. Services will be at Advantage Funeral Home in South Oklahoma City. Graveside services will be held at Sunnylane Cemetery located on Sunnylane and 15th in Del City.
