IN THE CARE OF
Advantage Funeral & Cremation Service-South Chapel
Jim Evans passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 with his wife Linda by his side hand in hand. They shared 46 beautiful years together in what some may consider a love affair.
Born in Drumright, OK he was the son of James “Buck” and Frieda Evans. He attended school and graduated from Ripley High School. Jim had a successful career as an Insurance Salesman. He loved to hold meetings and discuss Colonial Life.
Jim was a good man who cared for others. He was an avid Quail hunter who loved raising and training Brittany Spaniel bird dogs. He loved playing golf with friends and he loved baseball. Most days you would find the St. Louis Cardinal’s game on his television. Some may know that Jim’s dream was to play with the Cardinals.
Jim is survived by his wife Linda Evans, brother Keith Evans (Beverly), three granddaughters Krisha (Brian) Harris, Stephanie (Darian) Evans-Dyer and Stacie Evans, six spunky great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents James “Buck” and Frieda Evans, brother Daryl Evans and his one and only son and best friend, Rick Evans.
The memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Emmaus Baptist Church at 1:00pm.
Memorial donations may be made to Pets and People Humane Society, 9733 NW 4th St., Oklahoma City, OK 73127.
