James L. Evans, 70 year-old resident of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away Jun 3, 2015 at his home. Born April 15, 1945 in El Reno, Oklahoma, he was the son of Charles Martin Evans and Juanita Baree Evans. James was an Ordanance Specialist at Tinker AFB for many years. He was an avid collector of guns and knives and loved gunsmithing. Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Jewel Nadine Evans; and 1 son, Matthew Evans who was a State Trooper who died in a tragic accident in 2000. Survivors include 1 son, Ryan and his wife Laura Evans of Choctaw, OK; 4 grandchildren; and the mother of his children, Kathy Evans of Choctaw, Oklahoma. Inurnment will be in El Reno Cemetery at a later date.
