James Lloyd (Jim) Goldsberry of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on August 2nd, 2026 at the age of 82. He was born on December 7th, 1944 to Loyd W. and Mary Juanita (Nita) Goldsberry in Kenosha, Wisconsin. After graduating from the University of Oklahoma, he worked as an Electronics Engineer for the U.S. Government for 40 years.
He married Phenolipa Kathalene (Katha) Burdett in 1972, and together they shared 20 wonderful years. Jim enjoyed Torah study, reading, computer sciences and was known for his sense of humor, love of learning and his dedication to his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents Loyd and Nita, his beloved wife Katha, brother Bill and sisters-in-law Carolyn, and Phyllis.
He is survived by his younger brothers Gary and Bob and sister-in-law Maureen. Jim is also survived by his children: Rob, Bur, An'e, Sam, Hope, Dru and Patience, their spouses and his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A committal service will be held at Elmwood Cemetery, 1760 N Choctaw Rd, Choctaw, OK 73020, on August 5, 2026, at 10:30 am.
A memorial service will be held at Emanuel Synagogue, 900 NW 47th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73118, on August 5, 2026, at 12:30 pm.
