James Earl Lee passed from this life on May 23, 2020. Services have been entrusted to the care of Advantage Funeral Service and a celebration of his life will take place on Wednesday, May 27th at 10:30AM at the South Walker Church of Christ.
James Earl Lee was born August 3, 1937 to Edna Pauline and Fred Lee Boswell, Oklahoma. He was married to to Sandra Lee for 59 years and together they had 3 daughters: Kimberly Kay, Rhonda Susan, and Jamie Lynne. He was baptized into Christ in 1976. James served in the US Army and the Marine Corp. He was a long-distance truck driver for Lee Way Motor Freight and Roadway for over 30 years. Following his retirement, James taught truck driving for 10 years.
James had many loves in his life, but none more important than his family. He cherished spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was loved by all who knew him. James was kind and generous and he served as a friend or father figure to many. He touched many lives during his 82 years of life.
He enjoyed taking long drives around town, fishing, OU and Dallas Cowboy football, and big band music. When he wasn’t watching sports, he enjoyed watching John Wayne and war-time movies. James had many friends and was loved, admired, and respected by all who knew him. He will always be remembered for the funny stories he would tell, the hugs he had to give, and his smile. For as much as he loved his family, his family loved him just as much. James will be deeply missed by his family and will always and forever be Super Man.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and his grandson Tyler James Lamb. He is survived by his wife Sandra Lee; his daughters: Kimberly Lamb of Dallas, TX, Rhonda Ballare and husband Conrad of OKC, OK, and Jamie Campbell and husband David of OKC, OK; grandchildren: Brittany Wolf, Troy Lamb, Marissa Renfro, Shelby Oakes; great grandchildren: Montana Hubbard, Orion Lamb Meenes, and Emma Renfro; as well as three sisters, a brother, and numerous nieces, nephews and other beloved family members.
