James David Madl, 52 years old, passed away 06/01/2026 unexpectedly in Ponca City, Oklahoma. He was the husband of Dawn M. Madl. They shared 5 happy years together. They found each other on TikTok and it was the best love, life, friendship a person could ask for.
He was born in Reading, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Margaret Shaaber and Stephen Madl. He was employed at FST Logistics out of Dublin, Ohio as a Truck driver. His previous employer for many years was On-Time Courier out of Lebanon, Kentucky. In his previous employer through USA Truck, He trained drivers and those drivers became long time friends with James. He has many friends with On-Time Courier drivers that he would chat with at night driving keeping each other safe.
He enjoyed playing cards (rummy) . I always thought it was called around the world, he told me. Playing late night basketball with Jameson, Isaiah, Josiah, Dylan, Brayden. Riding horseback, Kayaking, long drives for wind therapy in Bumblebee. Bike riding in town with me and Josiah. He will be remembered for his ability to just carry out a conversation with any stranger off the street. He can make you smile with his goofy faces. Always taking pictures of himself with his tongue sticking out. He loved watching WWE Wrestling since he was a kid. It was a ritual here in the house cuddling on the couch and ending up falling asleep and watching wrestling another day LOL. Late night driving he would listen to Aaron Lewis songs (I Lost It All, Lost and Lonely). When James drove at night he was always overthinking everything. But he was never wrong about anything! He would watch any Marvel movie, Fast & Furious, SOA, YellowStone, Dutton Ranch, Marshalls. He also liked going to Top Golf with family and rollerskating. And the love for food, Turkey Hill Tea & Smith Chocolate Milk. If you know you know it's a PA thing.
There is not much James wouldn't do to have fun. As long as it was with family! But he definitely enjoyed his alone (one on one) time with his wife! We drove as a team for a summer and it was so great being together with no distractions. He and i didnt want to let it go but we had to because of kids being in school. We spent every waking hour on the phone facetiming. Talking like he was here right by my side. Unless one of the kids or mom & dad called him. But then he would call right back. He would watch over us all on the cameras and make sure we were safe. I was his best friend, his counselor, his caretaker, sexy wife, his everything as he would say, he didn't need anyone else, just me!
He is survived by his spouse Dawn M. Madl (Easterwood). Mother-Margaret Shaaber, Father-Stephen Madl. Two sisters-Stephanie Madl, Sherry Madl. Nine Children-Kaitlyn Schrader, Courtney Madl, Isaiah Velez, Jameson Madl, Kacey Madl, Autumn Easterwood, Hunter Marvin, Brayden Marvin, Dylan Ervin.
