 What a valiant man of God.  I have never met one like him.  He demanded excellence, such an excellent Spirit he live, and when wrong immediately made it right. 
 Jim is accounted with the greats like George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and some of our founding Fathers if not greater in the eyes of God.  I am not saying this as flattering words, but I mentioned this to my wife on the way to the celebration home gong of Jim before I knew more about him.  We know where his strength was it was like the disciples.  He had been with Jesus.  Those 5:30am meetings everyday with Christ.  What a testimony and a good example for all of us to live.  What a legacy he has left the world.  It was awesome to know him and always drew strength from his love and respect for others.

Dear Dad,  I remember when I first married Rick and I kept addressing you as Mr. Nimmo, finally you took all you were going to take and said, "If you don't start calling me dad, I'm not going to answer you...Jennifer."  Hahaha  Even though you could crack the whip as it were, you were very much the gentle soul.  I'm grateful for our 'few' walks together and how you talked about everything.  I'm so grateful to you and mom in so many ways.  I bet Benji was the first one to greet you and hug and kiss your sweet face.  It comforts me so much knowing you and Benj are together again.  I love you and we'll be together again.  We'll take care of mom!  Or the rate she's going...she'll have us all whipped into shape in no time!

Jim Nimmo was one of the kindest, most God-like men that I have ever met. Our family has had the privilege of knowing Jim, Ruth and the kids ever since they first moved to Oklahoma City and it has been a real blessing to have them as part of our extended Christian family.  Today, as we attended Jim's home going celebration, I was reminded of the bond that existed and remains firm today between a very special group of Christians that were fortunate enough to belong to Windsor Hills Baptist Church under the ministry of Brother Pete McGuire.  What a great time we had and oh how we learned about salvation and the second coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  We love you Jim and look forward to seeing you again.

It was my privilege to work for Mr. Nimmo for all those years in junior high, high school and college. He was a kind boss and just a joy to be with. I will always treasure our conversations over lunch at Furr's, the thousands of life lessons learned from working for him, and the Godliness that was imprinted on every aspect of his life. I will grieve with you from a distance as I'm overseas with my family, but I will rejoice with you in the joy he must be experiencing in our Lord's presence. I'll be thinking of you and praying for you in the days ahead.

We are very sorry for your loss. Although we've known Mr. Nimmo for a short time, it didn't take long to realize what a kind and nice person he was. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Nimmo Family, I am so sorry about Jim's passing, he had just sold my dads house and I was so pleased with how he handled every little detail for me. He prayed with me concerning the sale before and after the contract and that was a blessing to me. I know he is in a better place and will be rewarded for all his hard work. Dear Nimmo family , May God be with you all at this time. Jim Nimmo will really be missed by my family and I.
