What a shock. I was just about to write Jim a letter, and then I saw the obituary.It has been a while since I have seen Jim. He was a great friend, always with a great sense of humor. I always wanted my kids to meet him, but we lived far away (in Chicago at the time),  and never made the time that we should have. I talk about him frequently with my kids and friends to this day, usually recalling on outrageous and funny experience. Jim, you will be missed very much. My condolences to the Poe family.

Jimmy you were a man with a good heart ,you truly cared about your loved ones.  I was glad to have you as a brother in law and enjoyed your company and your humor.  God rest your soul.

Oh my dear elder brother you will be missed dearly there no words that can explain how I feel I will miss you the rest of my life what fun we had all the laughs also the golf and running around

It has been a few years since we had a round of golf together buddy....but if we played tomorrow I know it would have been like no time had passed.  So much of Daniel and I's childhood was filled with so many of dad and pody's friends that took us in and made us feel so special. Jim you were no exception. ALL memories I have of you are filled with comraderie, laughter and just the right amount of sarcasm and wit. We love you Diamond Parlay Jim.  I always felt like a million bucks when we were together. Thank You.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

Jimmy, I will miss you my friend. You had such an incredible gift to always make people laugh. I will always cherish the memories of you.
