

Jeanne went to see her Lord and Savior on February 8, 2026 while residing at The Lakes Care Facility in OKC. She was the widow of Terry S. Alviola who she shared 64 years together. Jeanne was born in Frisco City, AL to Willa Bea and Arthur B. Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her husband Terry S. Alviola, her parents, one sister, Helen Russell, her brother, James E. Johnson and one grandson, Daniel L. Kendrick, and her beloved son-in-law, Wayne Lowell Cure.
She is survived by her four children, Marshall Breck Alviola, Melodye Kim Cure and the late Lowell Wayne Cure, Leslie Anne Kendrick and her husband, David L. Kendrick, Teri Dawn Shover and her husband, Frank E. Shover, sister, Ginger Sparkman, and her husband, Ron. She has 8 living grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
As a young child she moved with her parents to Oklahoma City where she graduated from Capitol Hill High School.
She also obtained an associate’s degree in music from Oklahoma City Community College.
She also instructed many students in piano from her home.
Jeanne was passionate about her love of classical music and was an accomplished pianist in her own right, she also wrote music and had a trained voice. Her home was infused with the sound of classical music. It was impossible not to learn a love of classical music from her.
She and Terry were long time members of Northwest Church of Christ. During her later years she attended North MacArthur Church of Christ.
Additionally, she was a lifetime member of the OKC Ladies Music Club. Often giving beautiful piano performances and vocal solos.
Jeanne loved reading, mainly her Bible and had a love of history.
Jeanne’s living legacy can be found in the strong faith that she and Terry instilled in their children.
Memory donations can be made in her name to Northwest Church of Christ Ministry Funds.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, located at 8701 NW Expressway, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
