She would graduate in 2006 with a Bachelors of Medical Science from Western Illinois University-Macomb. Though she was born and raised in Chicago, she would move to Oklahoma to put Gregory and Jemisha in a better school system and decided to make it there home. She would marry Terry Hasley on February 9, 2021. The couple shared approximately 3 years and 8 months together and each moment was a precious gift.
Jerita was a hard-working woman. She worked very hard to pay off her debts, after which she became an entrepreneur. Though she didn’t let that detract from her ability to have a good time. A light-hearted woman, she enjoyed comedy and encouraged those around her to enjoy a good laugh.
An esteemed member of the congregation of Israel, Church of Jesus, OKC, Jerita was a Godly woman. She adored her husband and her children, always able to find a moment to listen to their troubles. For her, a perfect day would be spent at the Oklahoma City Zoo, relaxing amongst the many different animals.
She is survived by her husband, Terry Hasley; her children Jemisha Wright and Gregory Wright Jr. and Allyson Hollie, all of Oklahoma City; her brother Keith Brown of Dallas, TX, sisters, Octavia Arnold and spouse, Byron Arnold of Chicago, Illinois, Alisha Brown of Chicago, Illinois, Kezia Brown of Chicago, Illinois, and Asya Golson of Chicago, Illinois; five nieces and five nephews; as well as her fur-babies Sparkle, Shadow, Sheba, and Shaka.
