Jerre Jeannine Ochoa, 82, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, has departed this world to be called home on Tuesday, January 8, 2019. Jerre was born on September 1, 1936, to Glenn McGehee Grimsley and Bethyl Lenore Grimsley (Church).
Her hobbies included cooking, reading, gardening, playing bingo, and traveling. During her days of travel, she lived in Central and South America, and even the Middle East; she even learned to speak Spanish and Portuguese. But of her many achievements, Jerre was most proud of raising her six beautiful children with the love of her life, Charles Ochoa, to whom she was married for fifty years. Charles and Jerre enjoyed their active duties in the Elks Lodge #417 and, most of all, being with family at get-togethers and barbecues.
Jerre is survived by her daughter, Sarah Mantooth and husband Don of Nicoma Park, Oklahoma; daughter, Susan Kimsey and husband Dale of Edmond, Oklahoma; son, Chris Ochoa and wife Ruby of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; daughter, Stacy Dowd and husband Odell of Midwest City, Oklahoma; and daughter Deborah Ochoa-Knox and husband Michael of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She also leaves behind ten grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren to honor her memory.
She is preceded in death by her father, Glenn Grimsley, mother, Bethyl Grimsley (Church), husband, Charles Ochoa, sister, Bethyl Jo Grimsley, and son, Gary Sims.
