Jerry Arthur Brewer was born in Oklahoma City on July 30, 1941 to Robert and Marcille Brewer. He graduated from Choctaw High School in 1959. He briefly attended college before marrying his high school sweetheart, Mary Holland Brewer in 1961. They had three children together, Terri, Darry, and Garry. He opened Shady Nook Imports in 1973 and retired from the salvage business in 2009. Jerry loved life. He was a trusted and loyal friend to many. His eyes twinkled when he smiled, like he knew something that you didn't. He loved grand adventures and liked to go wherever the road led him. He was a proud member of the Beer Can Collectors of America and the Jaycee's. Jerry loved to sing exuberantly off-key and had a great gift for story-telling. He acquired a second family when he married Patricia Mason Brewer in 1992. He treasured the life he and his "Roomie" created together. Pat's children; Andrea Womack, Traci Mason, and Dana Timmons were a blessing to him. He loved his family and relished his role as "Pops" and "Pepaw". He is survived by his wife and family, including 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Wayne Brewer. Although he never got over the loss of his daughter, Terri, who died during a tornado in 2013; the family is comforted knowing they are now reconciled in heaven. He was a beloved man and will be missed. Jerry was a lover of all kinds of hats. To celebrate his life, the family requests that you wear a hat to the Memorial Service in his honor. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel, 8805 NE 23rd St., OKC, OK.
