

JoAnn Callaway, 81, passed on to her heavenly home on April 10th, 2013, with her family by her side. She was born February 21st, 1932, in Oklahoma City. After travelling, and living abroad, as a proud Navy wife, JoAnn and, her husband, Bill settled back home in Oklahoma. She had a very successful career in banking and was a member of St. Elijah Orthodox Christian Church where she volunteered her time generously until she was no longer able. She also loved being a volunteer at Mercy Hospital for many years. Her interests included family, cooking and her church. She was always ready to greet people with a warm smile and if you were in her home, you were treated like family and fed well. Her life revolved around her husband, children, grandchildren and church. Mrs. Callaway is survived by her husband, Bill Callaway; daughter Angel Miller and her husband Sean; sisters, Ruby Rahill and Lucy Shanbour; grandchildren, Ben Callaway, Nick Callaway, Samantha Miller and Jacob Miller. She also leaves behind numerous other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Sam Callaway. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday, April 12, 2013 at St. Elijah Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church with burial in Rose Hill Burial Park.
