Joan Elaine Willis, of Edmond, was welcomed into the warm embrace of her heavenly home on May 13, 2023. She entered this life on March 13, 1953 in Enid, Oklahoma to Guadalupe Solorio and Pearl Vivian Massingill Solorio.
Joan graduated high school, and has lived in Kansas and Oklahoma throughout her life. She met the love of her life, Larry Dean Willis and the couple enjoyed life together, all while creating a family with three children. Joan waitressed at Ann’s Chicken Fry until their unfortunate closing in 2021. She was most passionate about her work she did as a manager of the local snack bar, led by the Oklahoma League for the Blind.
Joan enjoyed many things like, Oldies music, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s humor, planting and smelling flowers, but she would enjoy her family as a whole the most; showing them endless amounts of unconditional love. Her love to her family would show through her patience, sewing, and her cooking. Joan’s love and kindness would extend to everyone, making them feel welcomed with a meal to make them feel better.
