Bob attended Newcastle High School and graduated in 1982; he then attended the University of Oklahoma and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business management. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and being on the computer, but overall, Bob enjoyed being with his family. Caring for his nieces and great nieces while they were young, affectionately earning him the name “uncle ma” because of how well he took care of them.
Bob is described as a good man; he was caring and kind and will be missed by all who knew him.
Bob is survived by his father, John Long Sr.; siblings, Nancy Long and Thomas and Michelle Long; nieces, Elizabeth and Alexis; great niece, September and Kendall; great nephews, Kody and Bentley, and a host of other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Carole Long and multiple grandparents.
A celebration of life for Bob will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2026 at 10 am at the Church of the Servant located at 14343 N. Macarthur Blvd., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
